Amarone Classico Corte San Benedetto 2015

The Amarone Classico from Corte San Benedetto is deep and complex even after just a few sips, with a bouquet of aromas that gracefully and elegantly transport you to one of the most interesting Italian regions for the production of great aging red wines, Valpolicella. A particularly suited terroir, where the Corte San Benedetto winery is located, a family-run production reality that was founded quite recently, in 2006, but already enjoys excellent prospects. We are faced with a soft and elegant red wine, where the indigenous grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella express the splendid relationship between the grapes and the territory of Arbizzano di Negrar.

The red wine Amarone Classico from the Corte San Benedetto winery is made from vines whose average age is around 30 years, grown in double pergola in vineyards located between 100 and 400 meters above sea level. The grapes of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, after manual harvesting, are dried in the fruit room for about 4 months; then we proceed with the alcoholic fermentation in steel, with a maceration of about 35 days and, finally, with aging, carried out both in tonneau and in Slavonian oak barrels.

The Amarone Classico Corte San Benedetto presents itself in the glass with a color reminiscent of intense garnet red. The bouquet of aromas is varied, highlighting notes of fruit in alcohol, exotic spices, and nuances of dried flowers. On the palate, it reveals all its greatness, with a broad and satisfying sip, dominated by a flirtatious and suave tannin and a sip that is decidedly balanced in every component. A prodigy that already gives emotions, but that will amaze even more in the future for its complexity and depth: try to believe.
