Montenegro is one of the most famous Italian amaro which is still made according to an ancient and secret recipe of 1885 which involves the use in infusion of over 40 botanicals. A perfect digestive to be tasted fresh after dinner or to be mixed to obtain classic and new cocktails. It is characterized by a bright coppery color and a sip that plays on the perfect combination of bitter-sweet, enriched with typical notes of chinotto, menthol, caramel and light balsamic nuances

Amaro Montenegro is one of the most famous and well-known labels in the Italian liquor scene. It is a true excellence, born from an ancient artisanal savoir-faire. Even today it is produced precisely following the indications of the original recipe dating back to 1885. The secret of its preparation is jealously guarded by the company that has built its success on fidelity to tradition. The amaro has traversed more than a century of history, remaining always the same. Even today it is appreciated for its delicate and elegant aromas and for the perfect balance between the softer notes and those typically bitter.

Montenegro was created by the Bolognese herbalist Stanislao Cobianchi, who after numerous experiments and attempts, managed to find that right taste harmony still loved by all enthusiasts today. Thus was born one of the iconic labels of our liquor tradition, which maintains its charm unchanged. It is prepared using a selection of 40 among herbs, spices, and citrus, which remains a secret to this day and gives the amaro a characteristic, unique, and absolutely unmistakable taste. Appreciated in Italy and abroad, it has now become one of the symbols of excellence of Made in Italy.

Amaro Montenegro is excellent to taste after dinner among friends, neat or with ice, but modern mixology has enhanced its qualities as an ingredient in original cocktails. In the glass, it presents itself with an amber color with bright and luminous reflections and immediately expresses intense aromas, reminiscent of medicinal herbs, mountain balsamic herbs, citrus peel, bitter orange, chinotto, rhubarb, and the softness of caramel. The sip recalls and amplifies the same sensations, with a warm and elegant entry on the palate and a dense and persistent aromatic richness, leading to a finish characterized by balsamic hints on a bitter background. A timeless classic.
