'Agenore' Fattoria Mondo Antico 2018

“Agenore” from Fattoria Mondo Antico is a small but interesting voice from Oltrepò Pavese located in the countryside of Rocca Susella, in the province of Pavia. The vines cultivated on the farm are just a part of the products found within the constructed organic microcosm: there are indeed pigs, cows, and horses grazing in the meadows, from which meats and dairy products are obtained. The crops utilize ancient flours produced on-site, while barley is used for craft beer. The farm's rules follow the principles of biodynamics.

Fattoria Mondo Antico “Agenore” is made from red grapes. The vineyards rise on the gentle slopes of the hills, at an altitude between 360 and 450 meters above sea level. The vineyard extends for 1.5 hectares with a southwest exposure. This area enjoys particularly favorable conditions for the vines, especially due to the constant ventilation that helps the health of the plants. The wine “Agenore” signed by Fattoria Mondo Antico presents itself with an intense and deep ruby red color, with hints tending towards violet.
